Paris in the 1880s. The successful stockbroker Paul Gauguin decides to give up his job and his comfortable lifestyle to dedicate his life to his passion – art. But the lack of appreciation for his very modern and unique style of painting soon brings Gauguin into a difficult financial situation and makes him lose his family. Desperate, poor and alone, but willing to pay the price for his artistic freedom, his search for new inspiration takes him to the roots of civilization: Tahiti.
